She was born on March 11, 1930, in Germany, daughter of the late Bruno and Maria (Finken) Frisch. Hannelore received a degree in engineering and was employed with Paper Converting Machine Company of Green Bay. In 1961, she married Donald G. Gruett in Menominee, Mich., and moved to Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband: Donald Gruett, Manitowoc; a daughter: Cindy M. Wirth, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Justin and Samantha Wirth; a brother and sister-in-law: Bruno and Cynthia Frisch, San Francisco, Calif.; and a sister: Margrete. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by a brother: Horst Frisch and one sister: Anneliese.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel, town of Kossuth. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Roald Harswick. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel, town of Kossuth, from 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, until the time of service at 1 p.m.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, for their compassionate care and support given to Hannelore and her family.
