John was graduated from Ripley High School in 1956.
He was a Veteran of the US Army and worked at Kaiser Aluminum for over 40 years.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Jaqueline Chancey and his brothers - Lawrence, Joe, Hubert, Roy, Denny, and Harry.
John leaves behind his wife and two sons. Additionally, a step-son and two daughters. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and many close nieces, nephews and cousins.
