She was a 1950 graduate of Mercy Academy. She was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church and The Gabby Gals Bunco Club, both for over 40 years. More importantly, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who manned a kitchen that was always open. She enjoyed a good laugh with her sons and grandsons. Betty was a woman of faith, frequently reading her dog-eared prayer books and revering St. Jude.
She was preceded in claiming her beautiful reward by her parents, Leo and Josephine Allgeier; ten siblings and countless other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, August "Bud" Sedelmeier; children, Greg Sedelmeier (Jerri) of Houston and Kevin Sedelmeier (Elizabeth) of Louisville; and five grandchildren, Daniel, Jonathan, Ethan, Lukas and Mason Sedelmeier, all of whom liked to shop with and join her in a card game.
The memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2010 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 3042 Hikes Lane, with burial to follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2010 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison Avenue at Barret Avenue. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Betty, expressions of sympathy can be made to Mass of the Air or the charity of the donor's choice.
