Charles was the son of Charles Albert Crossgrove and Bessie (Mayson) Crossgrove.

He was married to Marie Agnes Guy, the daughter of Howard Guy and Mariah (McGovern) Guy, and had the following children: Marcella Andrea Crossgrove, Edward James Crossgrove, Alberta Bernice Crossgrove, Bessie Anna Crossgrove, and Elizabeth Jane Crossgrove.

Charles was a Veteran of World War I.

He and Marie lived in Delaware, then moved to New Jersey for several years. After Marie's death, Charles returned to Delaware, where he died 2 years later.

** note- I am not related to the Crossgroves, their daughter Marcella was the 1st wife of my uncle (Alfred De Prisco). Also, Charles and Marie were Godparents to my Dad (Leonard DePrisco). If anyone from the Crossgrove family wishes to add more...please let me know.
