Walter Fenske departed this earthly life at the age of 51 years. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife Elsie (nee Haas), one daugther LaVerne Johansen, two sons Elden "Bud" and Earl, one granddaughter Lynn Johansen, a son-in-law Edward Johansen and one sister Anna Stahl.

Member of The American Legion Chicago Elevated Post #184, and The A. A. of Street Electric Railway and Motor Coach Engineers of America, Division No. 308.

Walter died of Hodgkins Disease. The doctors believe that it was brought on as a result of the "Mustard Gas" that the Germans had used on his troop in WWI.
