Her husband is listed this census as 79 years, retired manufacturer. Sadly Zadock died soon after on April 5, 1871. As reported, "Pratt became ill with a fever while he and his wife were visiting relatives in Bergen (now Jersey City). While recovering, he fell down stairs, broke his thigh and died due to the injury. "

She married John S. Wendell on 2 May 1903 in New York. And then on 6 May 1905, Susan changed her last will to sister Annie as sole executrix and recipient of her estate.
Susan died at her sister Annie's summer home in Massachusetts on 24 Jul 1908. The death notice cites her as the widow of John S. Wendell. I have not found any records of these last two husbands or any children.
