According to her burial certificate, Loretta died at home (1421 N. 24th Street) of dyptheria and is buried above her grandfather, John J. Dowling, in grave #1. She is laid to rest beside her mother according to Calvary Cemetery records. It is believed that my grandmother's middle name, Mary Loretta (Mullen) Pearson, was inspired by this beautiful 6 year old relative, Loretta.
