Margie Rae McLain, age 89 of Conroe, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 31, at her home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 3, in the Madisonville City Cemetery. Rev. Dale Wells will officiate. A visitation is set for 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral Home. Madisonville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Margie was born on November 8, 1925 in Madison County, Texas. Her parents were Alva Zetta (Black) and Lee Roy Lucas. She was raised in Madison County and graduated from Madisonville High School. Margie lived in Bryan, Houston and later in Conroe where she lived for 47 years. She was a housewife, a homemaker and she enjoyed working in her yard. She was of the Baptist faith. Margie Rae was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jessie Ray McLain; a daughter, Patricia Bishop and a sister, Mildred Poteet. She is survived by three daughters, Delores Webb and husband, Roland of Singleton, TX, Junie Stutts and husband, Kenneth of Wheelock, TX, Linda Roach and husband, Wesley of Conroe, TX; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers are Timothy Stutts, Jessie Johnson, Keith Johnson, James Webb, Brandon Roach and Daniel Johnson.
