Mr. Falldorf was born on Aug. 14, 1912 in Hall County to John and Frieda (Hann) Falldorf. He was educated at District 28 School in Hall County. After his education he worked on the farm.
He married Ruth Oliver on Sept. 25, 1938 in Grand Island.
During World War II, he worked at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant. Following the war, he was employed first by the Geer Company and then by Speltz-Schultz Lumber Company. He then worked for the street Department for the city of Grand Island for 20 years.
After his retirement he was a part of the train crew at Stuhr Museum
Mrs. Falldorf died in April 1979.
He married Ethel Meyers Beck on Dec. 1, 1983. She died on Oct. 13, 1999.
Mr. Falldorf enjoyed playing cards and bowling.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Platt-Duetsch, Eagles Club, Elks Club and Saddle Club.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Linda Falldorf of Imperial and Rod and Chris Falldorf, and Randal and Lonna Falldorf, all of Grand Island; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three stepdaughters, Ruby and husband Kenneth Charron of Central City, Judy and husband Charles Mead of Wood River and Linda and husband John Books of Omaha; one stepson, Jim Beck Jr. of Austin, Minn; four sisters, Lillie Kay and Maxine Flatcher of Grand Island and Alice Alexander and Phyllis O'Hartnett of Whittier, Calif.
