Stephen Mc Clelland is survived by his wife Patricia, children Damien & Caitlin and his Mother Shirley. He was a devoted Husband, loving Father and wonderful Friend to all who knew him. The following is from his memorial held at his workplace:
"Steve was such an integral part of life at Fairview. If you needed scones baked for Multi-Cultural Day, ask Steve. If you needed someone to cover your unit or your committee, you asked Steve. If you needed someone to do specialized training, just ask Steve. If things were a little nuts on the unit and you needed a calming presence, Steve was there."
"It was always an adventure walking across the campus with Steve. Everyone knew Steve personally or they knew him as the "guy reading the book."" But, he liked
people much more than books, and was always ready to hear how someone was doing, catch up on life, and encourage those who needed it."
If Steve was on a residence, you always knew where he was; at the center of a cluster of clients trying to get his attention. Steve would calm them down, tell them to wait their turn, and one by one, patiently listen to their problems and successes."
"Steve, truly loved his work, the staff here at Fairview, and, especially, the clients."
