Funeral service for Mavis Odessa Bearden Bryant, 83, will be Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Tony McGrady officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.

Mrs. Bryant died Sunday, May 31, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Walter and Elsie Bearden; sisters, Ruby Pino and Margaret Nelson; brothers, Doyle Bearden and James Bearden. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed camping and vacationing in Gatlinburg, TN. She was a member of Oldfield Baptist Church. She loved God and her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Calvin Bryant of Sylacauga; daughters, Devara Vickers, husband David of Sylacauga, Teresa Bishop, husband James of Decatur, AL and Donna Dewberry, husband Mike of Chippewa Falls, WI; son, Jerry Bryant, wife Kayra of Sylacauga; nine grandchidren; 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Bearden, Jr. of Sylacauga and sisters, Juanita Bryant of Sylacauga, Ann Reiter of Sylacauga and Polly Horton of Birmingham.

Visitation was held Monday June 1, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Lynn Swinford,Chris Slay, Blake Dewberry, Matt Grantham, Joey Bryant and Dakota Slay. Honorary pallbearer will be Perry Nelson. Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
