Eston Franklin Rodgers, Jr., was born January 10, 1937, to Eston and Opal Rodgers in San Marcos, Texas, and passed away in his sleep at home in Sanger, Texas, on June 3, 2015. He was 78. He grew up on a ranch in San Marcos and attended San Marcos public schools and graduated from San Marcos High school in 1955.

Frank worked with his father in construction in the San Marcos and Wimberley area, then moved to Ruidoso New Mexico in 1960, where he married Carolyn Sue South on June 14, 1962. They were married 44 years before her death in 2006.

Frank served in the National Guard in 1964-1965.

In 1971, he moved his family back to Texas, finally settling in Sanger. He and his family operated a stocker cow operation from 1972 to 1983. In the ensuing years, Frank built many homes, office buildings, and other structures, as well as developed several residential subdivisions. He was owner and partner in Frazier and Rodgers Construction, Town and Country Real Estate, Gainesville Door and Hardware, Sun Door, R&R Ranching and Real Estate, and Trail Creek Child Development.

Frank enjoyed traveling the country with his wife, Sue, and later with close friend, Ann Cogburn.

He is survived by daughters, Shelley Ruland and husband Kenny of Sanger, and Lezlie Jackson and husband John Jackson of Austin, Texas, a grandson, Trey Ruland of Sanger, two granddaughters, Christine and Elizabeth Jackson of Austin, two sisters, Lataine Goll of Lohn, Texas, and Roxie Dinstel of Fairbanks, Alaska, and brother, Jim Rodgers of Sanger.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Rodgers and his parents.
