Audrey J. Ayres, 69, of New Haven, was the wife of William H. Ayres, Jr. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Ayres was employed as a Teacher by the City of New Haven Board of Education for 35 years. She was a member of Community Baptist Church and also a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her husband, a son and daughter, four brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren.
