Alfred E. Cook, age 92, of Villa Park, IL., passed away at his home on February 27, 2015.

Al is survived by his children, Thomas (Pat), Alfred Jr. (Nadine), William, Michael and Colleen Brown; step-children, Richard (Jo) Ahrens, Theodore (Cathy) Ahrens, Virginia (Mike) McKay, Neatha Ahrens, John (LuAnn) Ahrens, the late Sandra Subject; grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle to many.

Al is preceded in death by his parents, sisters and wives, Loretta and Dolores.

During WWII, Al served as a fireman in the Navy.

Prior to retirement, he worked for IBEW Local 701 as an electrician and a lifetime member of the VFW.

He was a devoted Cubs, Bears, and Hawks fan.

Throughout his entire life, Al brought laughter and joy to the hearts of many family members and friends. He will truly be missed by many who knew him.

A Memorial Service was held on Friday, March 6, at Brust Villa Park Funeral Home, Villa Park.

His final resting place is in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
