My dad was a Marine sergeant and served with honor, he earned an engineering degree from the University of Cincinnati and was an industrial electrician by trade and was the President of his Local Union IBEW 212 for several terms. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, and brother and is not forgotten.

This photo of Bob, with his two life-long pals ( my bro and me) was taken at Christmas, 1958 with Bob in his Marine uniform. The three of us were on leave.

This stone for Bob Tharp was placed after his bronze plaque was in place. On the back of the stone engraved are the words, "Father of Julie Sarah".

Bob is buried where his grandparents are buried and the cemetery parallels US 50 by Dillsboro, Indiana. Active or inactive, once a Marine always a Marine and this Marine is not forgotten.
