LEAD BELT NEWS - Dec. 3, 1943.
"Mr. and Mrs. Carson Pryor, Buckley Street, St. Francois, were notified this week that their son, Sergt. Morris (Eddie) Pryor, as killed in action while on a bombing mission over France on July 14th.
The parents had been previously notified that he was missing in action.
Eddie was 19 years of age. He enlisted at Jefferson Barracks on June , 42. He received hraining in Utah and Spokane, Wash., and was sent over seas on June first of this year.
He was a tail gunner on a flying Fortress, and had receded an air medal for bravery in action."

Served aboard tail gunner B-17f 42-30011 "WIDGETT". Was shot down by enemy aircragt near Berck-Plage France
