In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Lillian Faye Aldridge; a son, Tommy Harrison Aldridge, Jr.; a brother, Edward Aldridge; and four sisters, Muriel Bellamy, Juanita Mowbray, Vivian Turner, and Paulette Aldridge.
Tommy was a retired Boilermaker. He served his country honorably in both the U.S. Navy and Army and was a Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed gardening and watching Westerns.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Ritz Aldridge; six children, Stephen P. Aldridge, Teresa A. Sims, Thomas E. Aldridge, Richard D. Aldridge, Rhonda G. Mains, and Bonnie F. Barnett; three step-children, Karen S. Bowling, Tony A. Callahan, and Nick A. Callahan; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Allen, Reed, Billy, Bobby, and Hugh Aldridge; three sisters, Udee Payne, Dixie Fields, and Erma Roberts; and a number of extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Antioch Baptist Church in Scottsville by Pastor Dave Vogt. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions in Tommy's memory be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
