Ella was born 13 Sep 1861 in Texas and died 28 Mar 1939 Cherokee, Texas.She married Robert F Odom on 23 Jan 1878 in Cherokee County, Texas. The marriage record list her name as Grazella.

Final rites for Mrs. R.F. Odom, mother of Homer Odom of Athens, were held at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emmett Grisham at Dialville, Cherokee county. Services were conducted by Rev. Warren White at the Rocky Springs church and burial followed at the Rocky Springs cemetery.
Mrs. Odom died Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock following an illness that lasted a year. A number of friends of Mr. and Mrs. Odom from Athens attended the funeral.
Surviving are six sons, Clifford of Jacksonville, J.V. and Tom, of Dialville, F.F. of Hillsboro, Willie of Hubbard City, and Homer Odom of Athens; one daughter, Mrs. Grisham; one sister, Mrs. Sallie Childs of San Antonio; seventeen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bruce Slover, Forrest Jarrett, Jack Dial, Moody Glass, Oscar Acker and Tom Fulton.
Mrs. Odom was a member of the Rocky Springs Baptist Church and was a lifetime resident of that community
