Mrs. Frances Bennett passed away Wednesday morning at one o’clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. Viola Morris, in Towner.
Mrs. Bennett came from her home at Judsonia, Arkansas two years ago and spent part of the summer visiting her sister and other relatives.
She was a sufferer of asthma and last September returned to Colorado hoping the climate might benefit her and she enjoyed fair health until two weeks before her death, when she contracted a cold and pneumonia developed.
Her daughter, Mrs. Myra Hembree of Judsonia, Arkansas was called to her bedside and did everything in her power to prolong the precious life, but the frail body was too weak to withstand the ravages of disease.
Mrs. Bennett made many friends during her stay here, her happy disposition attracting those with whom she came in contact. She proved by her Christian character that her eighty years had not been lived in vain.
She leaves to mourn her departure seven sons and two daughters, one sister, several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Mrs. Hembree left Wednesday night with the body for their home in Arkansas, where interment was made by the side of her husband who passed away sixteen years ago.
