Frederick Stephen Bray (Steve) was born and raised in the Washington, DC area. He attended Groveton and Edison High Schools and excelled in intramural wrestling. He worked for the US Postal Service in the 1970's but was wrongly terminated because they said his hair was too long. After several years of litigation, he won his job back and was awarded some back pay. Steve married Cheryl Hinton and is the father of Patrick Stephen Burke of Alexandria and Mount Vernon, VA. Steve mixed with the wrong crowd of friends during the 1970's and went from smoking marijuana to cocaine to heroin. During the late 1970's and 1980's he struggled to overcome this addiction along with Thomas Nicholas our younger brother. He joined a Christian group, Teen Challenge, and was driver of their large bus as they toured the United States. Steve was always friendly, kind, and humorous.
