Carla is the sister of my brother-in-law and I wanted to add her memorial before someone grabbed her obituary out of the newspaper and added her for the numbers. I am adding her because I knew Carla and she was one of the nicest people I have ever had the honor of knowing.
Carla was the daughter of Toffan Gregory (1924-2000) and Birdie Mae EDWARDS (1927-2011). She was the first born of six children; her siblings are:
Harry G., Wendel Ray (1950-1995), Timothy, James, and Sue.
Carla married Dwight Bocksnick and they had two children - a daughter Dawn Mae (1965-1985) and a son Darren.
Tragically, her daughter Dawn was killed when a train hit the car Dawn was driving. Carla never got over the death of her daughter, but then what mother would.
She and Dwight divorced and she married a man with the surname of Carmer. They were married for about 19 years before they divorced.
Carla worked at General Motors and retired from GM.
She loved to laugh, loved her dogs including her little Baby, loved her family. Carla was always very meticulous about her appearance and always looked beautiful.
As I said at the beginning, Carla was truly one of the nicest people I have ever met. When I picture Carla in my mind it's of her smiling or laughing.
Carla lost her battle with cancer early Thursday morning, June 4, 2015.
Rest in peace, Carla. Now you're reunited with Dawn.
