Faye Reeves Sewell stepped into eternity Friday, May 29, 2015. Those left behind include her sweetheart and her grandchildren. She also shared a special relationship with her nephew, who was like a son to her. The Sewell family will miss Faye very much as well, including Wesley and Sandy Sewell, Sheryl. Faye had many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Faye has a sister and a brother and wife. She was predeceased by her first husband, Gib Reeves, as well as their two sons, Mark and Jim. Faye's brothers Irving Rayburn and John Rayburn passed away several years ago. These siblings all blessed her with many nieces and nephews who she dearly loved. If you have driven by the Baptist church in Sweeny and smiled at the beautiful flowers, then you have been blessed by Faye. Almost everyone who knew her visited the beautiful garden she simply called her yard. Daylilies were her specialty because they bloom in a rainbow of colors. For her that was heaven. So instead of sending flowers that will soon die, please make a donation to the Landscaping Fund at FBC Sweeny. That way Faye can continue to bless all of us. Funeral services will be Monday, June 1, 2015 at 3:00P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Sweeny with the Rev. John Price officiating. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Visitation will be from 6-8P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
