United States Army Private First Class served 8th Cavalry. He had left for Vietnam on Valentines Day and was killed in action at Bong Son, Vietnam a few month shy of his 21st birthday on the first day of Spring 1967. It was reported that he had been killed by enemy fire but his family later learned from a serviceman who served with him that he died of friendly fire. His name is etched on Panel 17 East Line 3 on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Wall in Washington, DC. A street in Monroe Township New Jersey is named in his honor in the Forest View development near where his grave is located.
