She had five sisters and five brothers: Mary Dorealis Swift, born 1 Apr 1875; Wade Hampton Swift, b. 11 Jan 1877; Cora Lee Swift, b. 18 Jul 1878; William Dean Swift, b. 24 Jun 1880; Ida May Swift, b. 24 Aug 1882; Seth Cleveland Swift, b. 30 Mar 1884; Ira Luther Swift, b. 6 Apr 1886; Cicero Haynes Swift, b. 13 Feb 1888; Winnie Davis Swift, b. 26 Jan 1890 and Frankie Lorena Swift b. 30 Jun 1893. Ruby was the baby of the family.
