Freda M. Griffin, 72, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Freda M. Griffin was born June 13, 1942 in Independence, Kansas the daughter of Henry Gall and Emma (Biederman) Gall.

She grew up in Independence and attended Independence Schools graduating in 1960. She attended Independence Junior College.

On March 13, 1961 in Miami, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Scott David Griffin and he survives at the home.

Freda worked as a para professional at the Independence Middle School, City Publishing, Big Cheese and was a homemaker.

Freda will be remembered for her love for her family and enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting.

She was a lifetime member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Independence.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, David of the home, daughters, Pam Shields of Cherryvale, Kansas, Gayla Horsch of Lyons, Kansas, three brothers, one sister, ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Linda Louise Ringle.
