Bessie attended and graduated from Point Blank School. She immediately began doing what she loved the most.....cooking. Her profession as a cooks for over 35 years allowed her to work in several locations that included: Sam Houston State University and Coldspring I.S.D., where she served in several leadership positions. In her leisure time she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, children and grandchildren.
Bessie accepted Christ at a very early age. She was a faithful member of Pine Valley Baptist Church, where she also served as mother of the church until her passing.
Bessie Lee Wyatt Thomas died peacefully on June 2, 2015 in Humble, Texas at the age 77.
Bessie's children will remember her as a kind, dedicated, and loving mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. She is survived by her children: Hattie Adair, of Humble, Texas, M.C. Adair (Jackie) of Point Blank, Texas and Gerry Adair (Sanitra); of Willis, Texas, grandchildren: Melvin Adair (Atina), Curtis Adair (Krishun), Kimberly Adair, Brandi Richardson, Germie Adair, and Naya Adair, seven great grandchildren, sisters-in-laws: Ella Mae Adair and Eliza J. Adair and dear friends: Dorothy "Dot" Wyatt, and Freddie White, whom she loved and cherished as sisters, and additional relatives and friends.
