Gilbert Groshong, 75, a prominent area farmer of Albany died Sunday at Albany General Hospital of a stroke. Groshong was born March 12, 1885 at Gervais, OR and at the age of eight, moved with his family to the Dever Community where he has since made his residence. He was married November 6, 1907 at Albany to Pearl Winkley who survives. A member of BPOE lodge 359, Modern Woodmen, and Morning Star Grange. He is survived by his wife; two childern, Mrs Harold Westcott, Vale and Robert J. Groshonng, Albany, 6 grand children. Last rites will be at the Willamette Memorial Mausoleum.
