CAROLINE STOLTENBERG

Mrs. Caroline Stoltenberg, 85, widow of a former Cleveland cheesemaker, Carl Stoltenberg, died Sunday morning at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc.
She had been living with daughters in Manitowoc and Sheboygan since selling her home in the Village of Cleveland the past June.

The former Caroline Wunsch, Mrs. Stoltenberg was born in the town of Mosel, April 20, 1868, a daughter of the late Theodore and Helene Wunsch.
On Jan. 24, 1891 she was married to Mr. Stoltenberg, who owned and operated the Cleveland cheese factory until his death in February, 1905. She had continued to make her home in the village until this summer.
Mrs. Stoltenberg was a member of the St. John and St. Peter Lutheran Church, Cleveland, and was a charter member of its Ladies’ Aid Society.

Surviving are the two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Ella) Bandlow, Sheboygan, and Mrs. Arthur (Esther) Wagner, Manitowoc; four grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, four sisters and five brothers.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm. Wednesday at the St. John and St. Peter Lutheran Church, Cleveland, with the Rev. Eldon M. Bode, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the St. John cemetery, town of Centerville.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland, and until 11 a.m. Wednesday, when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the hour of services.
