Born in New Castle on October 29, 1915, Samuel was the son of the late Matthew and Theresa Panella Carbone. He married the former Antionette Nero in 1938 and she preceded him in death in November 2005. He was a member of St. Vitus Church. Sam retired in 1977 from National Steel Service Center where he worked as a slitterman.Sam was an avid golfer. He cherished the times he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by two children, Matthew Carbone and wife Sandra of New Castle; Veronica (Bee Doll) Fennych of Beaver, Pa; one brother, Domenic Carbone of New Castle; a sister, Virginia (Lindy) Yannessa of New Castle; three grandchildren, Sammy Carbone and wife Amy, Angela Malizia and husband Jeff and Norman Fennych and wife Jane, seven great-grandchildren, Matty Carbone, Sammy Carbone, Patsy Amabile, Cassie Amabile, Jadyn Malizia, Brittany Fennych and Nick Fennych.
In addition to his parents and wife, Sam was preceded in death by a son, Sammy Carbone, four brothers, Tony Carbone, Frankie Carbone, Willie Carbone, Tyko Carbone, three sisters, Julia DiThomas, Marie Delbene, Adeline Medure and a son-in-law, Norman Fennych.
