Doris M. Helt Died on Monday, March 12, 2018. She was born April 15, 1928 in Waunakee, to Fred and Helen (Klein) Schoepp.
Doris married the love of her life, Joseph M. Helt, on September 7, 1950. They farmed in the Verona area since 1964.

Doris is survived by her children, Rodney (Joyce), Laurie (Jim) Lemke, Cheryl (Bob) Holler and JoAnne (Ed) Farnsworth; grandchildren, Jill (Matt) Zimmerman, Bobbie (Matt) Jorgensen, Thomas (Carrie) Holler, Craig (Janna) Holler, Lindy (Steve) Meer, Lynn (Tyler) Heslinga, Joseph (Melinda) Farnsworth, Leah (Ryan) Stenjem, and Victoria (Justin) Novara; great grandchildren, John Paul, Rubie, Gianna, Ashley, Charlie, Liam, Anderson, Lilie, Peter, Ethan, Jordyn, Bella; and two brothers, Fred (Joan) and Donald (Marcy).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe, in 2006; her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Donald Ballentine.VERONA—On Monday, March 12, 2018, we said goodbye to our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Doris M. Helt. She was born April 15, 1928, in Waunakee, to Fred and Helen (Klein) Schoepp. Doris married the love of her life, Joseph M. Helt, on Sept. 7, 1950. They farmed in the Verona area since 1964.

Her passions were her nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sports, gardening, cards, baking, and her favorite cats.

Doris is survived by her children, Rodney (Joyce), Laurie (Jim) Lemke, Cheryl (Bob) Holler and JoAnne (Ed) Farnsworth; grandchildren, Jill (Matt) Zimmerman, Bobbie (Matt) Jorgensen, Thomas (Carrie) Holler, Craig (Janna) Holler, Lindy (Steve) Meer, Lynn (Tyler) Heslinga, Joseph (Melinda) Farnsworth, Leah (Ryan) Stenjem and Victoria (Justin) Novara; great-grandchildren, John Paul, Rubie, Gianna, Ashley, Charlie, Liam, Anderson, Lilie, Peter, Ethan, Jordyn and Bella; and two brothers, Fred (Joan) and Donald (Marcy).

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe, in 2006; her parents; and her sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Donald Ballentine.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018, at ST. ANDREW’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 301 N. Main St., Verona, with Father John Sasse officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at the church’s cemetery.
