Hilda E. Rambadt, age 102, of 5503 County Road U, town of Newton, entered eternal life on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
Hilda was born September 19, 1911 at School Hill in the town of Meeme, Manitowoc County. She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Koeser Karstaedt. She received her education at Woodland Elementary School just north of School Hill, Wisconsin. On November 5, 1932 she married Arnold J. Rambadt at Bethlehem Reformed Church in the town of Schleswig, Manitowoc County.
He preceded her in death on August 13, 1996. Hilda was a member of Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church and the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She was also a volunteer with the Angel Association of the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She is survived by two sons: Donald (Barbara) Rambadt, Delafield, Wisconsin; Merlin (Carol) Rambadt, Sun City West, Arizona; six grandchildren: Lori (Russ) Harland, Brookfield, Wisconsin; Lois (Rick) McCool, Gravette, Arkansas; Luann Griffioen, Hartland, WI; John (Amy) Rambadt, Hiwasse, Arkansas; Jennifer Rambadt Brown, Ester, Alaska; Don Rambad Jr., Milwaukee, Wisconsin; four step grandchildren: Julie (Ken) Welsh, Nashotah, Wisconsin; Susie (Scott) Bechtel, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin; Tom (Sue) Sorenson, Merton, Wisconsin; John (Leah) Sorenson, Hartland, Wisconsin; one sister: Lorraine Vogel, Manitowoc, Wisconsin; twenty six great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, 6524 County Road C., Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Kyle Sorensen with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
