Elda Martha Bolt-Stock 1906-2005
Elda M. Stock, age 98, a Manitowoc resident, died Sunday, May 22, 2005 at River's Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Elda was born Nov. 6, 1906 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Charles and Alvina Luebke Boldt.
On Nov. 24, 1927, she married Alvin R. Stock in the town of Liberty. They farmed in the town of Newton from 1931 to 1986 when they moved to Manitowoc to make their home.
Alvin predeceased Elda on July 25, 1992. They celebrated 64 years together.
Elda was a member of Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, Newton.
Elda enjoyed cooking, baking and vegetable gardening.
Survivors include a son: Raymond Stock and his fiancee, Joyce, Sheboygan; three daughters: Irene Maala, Manitowoc; Elaine and Robert Waack, Manitowoc; Myra and Russell Albert, Cleveland; 23 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alvin, Elda is predeceased by a son and daughter-in-law: Robert and LaVerne Stock; daughter-in-law: Margean Stock; son-in-law: John Maala; one great-grandchild; two brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, County Trunk Highway C, Newton.
The Rev. Kyle Sorensen will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at the church from 9 a.m. Wednesday to the time of service.
