HAYS -- Norbert Miller, 86, Hays, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at the Hays Good Samaritan Center. Mr. Miller was born Aug. 8, 1914, at Catherine.

He was a farmer in the Emmeram and Walker areas and a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church of Hays.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Roy Dean.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, of the home; two sons, Donald of Wichita and Pete of Hays; a daughter, Shirley Droegemeier of Hays; a brother, Robert of Stockton; a sister, Tillie Kuhn of Victoria; eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, the Rev. Don Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in the St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria. A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. followed by a parish vigil service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine, Hays 67601.

Memorials may be made to the Hays Good Samaritan Center, Alzheimer's Unit, 27th and Canal, Hays, or for Masses. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
