of 416 S. Fairview St., Lock Haven, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 at the Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport.
She was born Jan. 3, 1930 in Lock Haven, the daughter of the late Carl and Rose Ripoli Astone.
On June 25, 1952, she married Leonard Pardoe, who died Dec. 28, 1953.
She was a 1947 graduate of the former Lock Haven High School. She was employed as a clerk for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue until her retirement in 1991. She was a familiar face as a hostess at the Village Tavern, where she greeted patrons with a smile, hug and a kiss.
She was a very active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Lock Haven.
She is survived by her son, Leonard Pardoe of Lock Haven, several nieces and nephews, a granddaughter in San Francisco, a godson, Robert DeLong of Liverpool, N.Y. and a special goddaughter, Kay Caprio of Lock Haven.
The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the St. Agnes Catholic Church, Lock Haven, with the Rev. Father Neil R. Dadey officiating.
Burial will be in St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Lock Haven. Friends will be received at the church Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Agnes Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Moriarty-Dutcavich Funeral Home, Lock Haven.
