MATHILDA STREESE

Mrs. Tillie Streese, 87, a native of the Town of Gibson and a resident of Sheboygan the past 22 years, died Friday night at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, Sheboygan, where she had been a patient since 1960. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, the Rev. Eric Teller, pastor of Ebenezer Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sheboygan, officiating. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mrs. Streese, nee Tillie Begalke, was born in the Town of Gibson June 2, 1880, a daughter of the late Edward and Matilda Mueller Begalke. She attended the rural schools. She was married June 14, 1909, to Louis Streese at Mishicot, after which the couple farmed in the Town of Gibson. He preceded her in death April 2, 1934. Mrs. Streese remained on the farm until 1946 when she went to Sheboygan to make her home with a daughter, Mrs. Edward Engeldinger. She was a member of Ebenezer church.

Besides the daughter, she leaves two sons, Louis of Hubertus, Wis., and Ray Streese on the home farm at Rt. 1, Mishicot; a sister, Mrs. Julius Grumann, of Manitowoc; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday until the time of services.
