Glen Darrel Gain was born April 26, 1941 to Troy Gain and Mary Brassfield in Cushing Oklahoma. Glen went to be with his heavenly father on June 12, 2015 in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Marie Gain; two brothers: Claud Gain, and Dewey Gain; and one sister: Pat Allen. Glen is survived by his soul mate and best friend, Linda (Gunter) Gain; two children: Sheryl Rexach and husband Frank, and Steven Gain and wife Michele; his grandchildren: Rachel Witmer and husband Jacob, Amanda Gain, Jon Tyler Crail, Ryan Gain, Ashley Andrews, Frederick Chartrand; his great grandchildren: Lily Andrews, Jace Chartrand, and his soon-to-be great grandson baby Hunter; two sisters: Sandra Freeman and husband Kenneth, Myrna Elliott and husband Jewell; and his best buddy, Peppy.
Glen worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 37 years before retiring in 2004. He also served in the United States Marine Corps and was proud of being able to serve his country. Nonetheless, nothing could compare to the pride he had in in his family. Glen had met the love of his life and quickly realized that he would want to spend all of his eternal life with Linda Sue Gunter, they were married 51 years. Glen and Linda were blessed with two amazing children that they couldn't be more proud of. His family remembers Glen to enjoy fishing at the Washita River. Glen had a cabin out at Ft. Cobb that his grand babies had nicknamed "The Sticker House". Another activity that Glen participated in was playing card games every Friday with his friends. What had started out as just something to do turned into a fellowship that brought them closer to one another. On these Fridays they would gather, laugh, play and make memories. Glen was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church for 41 years. Glen had a dry sense of humor and if you weren't careful he could easily have you second guessing whether or not he was just joking. He was a grand man who loved the Lord and of course his grandchildren. Glen had many accomplishments in his life and had been blessed with so much. For him to be such a humbled soul about all the Lord had blessed him with, truly spoke about the type of man that we all knew him to be, extraordinary!
