Alice Andrews, relict (wife) of the late Alfred Andrews and dear mother of daughters’; Henrietta (Mrs. Bricknell), Maude (Mrs. Coates), and son Henry Percival (deceased 1931). And son; Charles A.G. Andrews (deceased in 1929) She was age 72 years.


Gipsy Ann Longrigg was her birth Name. Although she had shortened her name to “Alice” Long. The reduction of the name from Longrigg to Long, was something her mother Margaret had implemented after their father (Margaret’s husband had passed away in 1875). The family name became LONG.
Alice married a man named Alfred Andrews who arrived as an immigrant in 1887, arriving on the vessel named “Port Jackson” in Sydney Harbor on 27 June 1887 from Plymouth England.

Alice and Alfred C. Andrews were married in St Peter's Church, Woolloomooloo, Sydney, New South Wales on the 16th March 1889.
