Alice B. Bright, wife of the late Robert G. Bright, passed away May 28, 2015 at Northeast Florida Community Hospice, after a short illness, surrounded by family. Alice was born August 23, 1923 in Danville, Ky. to the late William and Lucy Cook. Alice married Robert (Bob) G. Bright on April 16, 1946. They met as children in Tiffin, Ohio at the Jr. Order of Mechanics Lodge Home for children. Alice left the home and moved to Findlay, Ohio where she graduated from Findlay High School in 1943.
Alice worked at Cooper Tire in Findlay for approximately 26 years and retired August 1985. Alice and Bob moved to Beverly Hill, Florida when she retired and enjoyed their life there before moving to Jacksonville, Florida to be near their daughter and her family.
Surviving Alice is a daughter, Terry Bright; granddaughter, Amy Blumstein; great-grandson, E.J. Porter; grandson, Damien Blumstein, all of Jacksonville, Florida; and son, Robert Bright (Susan) of Columbus, Ohio; and grandson, Eric Bright of Columbus, Ohio; grandson, Rick Bright; and granddaughter, Teri Patton; and sister, Lily Ferguson of Findlay, Ohio, along with many extended family members in Ohio. A brother, Ernest Cook is deceased.
A memorial will be held at a later date and Alice will be laid to rest beside her husband, Robert Bright in the Jacksonville U.S. VA National Cemetery.
