MOAN, JAMES F., JR., 57, of Mercer Street, East Providence, died unexpectedly on March 29, 2010. He was the former husband of Mary Ann Kennedy of North Providence. Born in Cranston, a son of Beverly J. (Johnson) Moan of East Providence and the late James F. Moan Sr., he was a lifelong resident of East Providence. Mr. Moan was a bus driver for the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority for 10 years. James was a graduate of East Providence High School Class of 1970 and attended Roger Williams College. A New England sports enthusiast, Jim was an avid slow-pitch softball pitcher. Besides his mother and former wife, he is survived by two sons; Justin M. Moan of Providence and James F. Moan III of East Providence, a daughter; Megan L. Liberty of Spring Hill, FL, a brother; Michael T. Moan of Providence and two grandchildren; Brenden M. Moan and Evan P. Liberty. A Celebration of his Life will be held Thursday April 1, 2010 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNER AL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside with calling hours from 4-7 pm with a prayer service at 5 pm. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Jim's memory to the Friends of Townie Athletics, 2000 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, RI, 02914 would be deeply appreciated
