Howard L. Reney, 90, of Madison Street, Sag Harbor, died in the State Hospital at Central Islip on Nov. 30 after a short illness. He was a lifelong resident of Sag Harbor, where he was born on April 1, 1874.

He was the son of George W. and Harriet S. Reeves Reney. He married Marie S. Gruet, who has died. They had no children. Mr. Reney was a retired plumber and tinsmith.

He was a member of the Foresters of America and of the Junior Order of American Mechanics. A half sister, Mrs. Blanche Reney of California, survives, as do two nephews and two nieces.

Mr. Reney was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. The funeral service was held on Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. in the Pino Funeral Home, the Rev. Roy L. Webber officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
