Ada Lou Bardin Pickett was born January 5, 1937 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Tolbert & Mary Margaret Wise Bardin, She departed this life Tuesday June 16, 2015 at the Golden Living Center/Green Hill Manor in Greensburg having attained the age of Seventy-Eight years, five month & eleven days.
Ada Lou had made a professtion of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 15 years. She was a member of the Rod Low Post #124 American Legion, Greensburg, , she was a Past President and current member of the Ladies Auxillary of the James L. Pruitt Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts # 5813,Greensburg, and a member of the Double Cola Softball & Bowling Teams, she was a Green County High School Graduate, she was Paraprofessional specializing in Mental health. Besides her parents she is proceded in death by a brother T. G. Bardin,and an infant brother Carl Wesley Bardin.
She is survived by her husband Doug Pickett, one daughter and son-in-law Millie Pickett & Bruce Barnes of Greensburg,one son & daughter-in-law Brad & Vicki Pickett, of Callahan, Florida and the Gabe Community of Green County, four sisters & three brothers Bettie Carol Milby, Judy & Carlos Milby, Gayle and Wayne Hines all of Greensburg and Beverly and Gwynne Gaddie of Russellville, two brothers and sister-inlaw's Rollin (Pud) and Joyce Bardin of Miami Springs, Florida, J. C. "Cotton" Bardin & Martha Bardin, of Greensburg, and Shirley Bardin of Louisville, four grandchildren, Sabrina Sebastian, & Summer Sebastian,of Greensburg, Brad Pickett,Jr. and Chad Pickett of Callahan, Florida,great grandchild Raliegh Pickett, of Callahan, Fla. Step granddaughter Beth Barnes of Louisville and step great grandson Julian Money of Louisville, plus a host of other relatives & friends
Place & Time of services: Greensburg United Methodist Church 1 P.M. Friday June 19, 2015,Minister Rev. Dale Curry.
Visitation 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday and after 7 a.m. Friday at the Greensburg United methodist Church and after 7 a.m. Friday at the Greensburg United Methodist Church.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to St. Jude Tributor Program, These can be made at the Foster-Toler and Curry Funeral Home or at the Greensurg United Methodist Church.
Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
