Annis E. Davies, 84, of Armstrong died at 6:25 a.m. Thursday (June 29, 2006) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Mrs. Davies was born March 5, 1922, in Wayne County, a daughter of Ralph and Goldia Miller Wilson. She married Richard C. Davies on June 6, 1943, in Moweaqua. He died July 31, 1996.
She is survived by three daughters, RaNae (Jim) Proffitt of San Diego, California, Joyce (Herb) Linne of Fort Collins, Colorado and LeeAnn (Dan) Rice of Cornelius, N.C.; one son, Dean (Carolyn) Davies of Armstrong; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Davies was a secretary at the University of Illinois Alumni Association for 16 years. She graduated from Armstrong High School and attended Illinois State University, Bloomington-Normal. She was a member of Middlefork United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
