Betty Ann Nixon, 80, of North Woods Village in Mishawaka, IN (formerly of New Carlisle, IN) passed away at 12:25 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Hospice House in South Bend, IN.
Betty Ann was born on November 15, 1934 to the late Herschel and Dorothy (Scott) Adkins in Beckley, WV, and has lived in New Carlisle, IN since 1978, coming from Angola, IN.
Betty was retired from Hamilton Grove in New Carlisle, IN, where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 30 years.
On June 27, 1953, as Betty Ann Adkins, she married Raymond H. Nixon in South Bend, IN. He passed away on March 3, 2007.
Betty is survived by three daughters, Deborah (Dave) Griffin of Angola, IN; Sandy Nixon of Willow Spring, NC; Kimberly (Kurt) Kalberer of Granger, IN; two sons, Timothy (Tina) Nixon of Guyton, GA; Richard (Miriam) Nixon of New Carlisle, IN; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Martin, Brian (Jennifer) Nufer, Stacy (Rocky) Fisk, Jenna (Tony) Conklin, Nicole Nixon, Matthew (Katie) Nixon, Grace Nixon, Christina Nixon, Elijah Nixon, Keith Kalberer, Kassidy Kalberer, and five great-grandchildren, Lauren Martin, Hunter Martin, Hayden Martin, Julia Nufer, and Lily Nufer.
There will be no services. Private Burial took place at New Carlisle Cemetery in New Carlisle, IN.
