Born Sept. 9, 1917, in Pulaski County, Mo., to Walter L. and Rachel E. Stoner Green, he married Eleanor R. Bauer on Nov. 23, 1949, in Groveland. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Bernice Jones of Richland, Mo., and Dorothy (and Dean) Krowlek of Washburn; four sons, Howard of Morton, Floyd (and Janet) of Pekin, Walter (and Joy) of Mackinaw and Richard of Washington; and one brother, Lloyd (and Anna) of Waynesville, Mo.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
He was a World War II Army Air Forces veteran, serving in New Guinea, Luzon and the Philippines. He received two Bronze Stars.
He had been a heat treat operator at Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria for 33 years.
Graveside services will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
