Elizabeth P. "Betty" Lungwitz, 87, of 1381 Oak Park Place, formerly of 2327 Roosevelt St, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at Enoble Manor.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 1199 Main St., where friends my call after 10 a.m. Monday. Burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date.

She was born on Feb. 14, 1920, in Dubuque, daughter of John and Pauline (Siems) Berwanger. She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School, University of Dubuque, and Moser Business College.

In 1942, she married Rubert Lungwitz in Pasadena, Calif.; he preceded her in death in February 2007.

Elizabeth was a member of the University of Dubuque Alumni Association, St. Luke's United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Surviving are her son, Gary Lungwitz, of Dubuque; a daughter, Lynne Ann Green, of Santa Cruz, Calif.; four grandchildren, Matthew Lungwitz and Betsy Castillo, Codi Kutsch and Kim Alveal; and three great-grandchildren, Hannaha, Emma, and Lydia Alveal.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Paul and Jay; and two sisters, Dorothy and Eleanor.
