Betty A. Bacon, 92, formerly of Sycamore, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky.

She was born July 19, 1922, to Clyde and Nina (Schrider) Pool.
She married Ralph Junior Bacon March 4,1943, in Pensacola, Florida, and he preceded her in death March 21,1998.

Mrs. Bacon is survived by two sons, Stephen Bacon of Sycamore and Christopher (Diana) Bacon of Rudolph; two grandsons, Joshua (Crystal) Bacon of Driftwood, Texas, and Ryan (Marie) Bacon of Cincinnati; one granddaughter, Nicole Benschoter of Bowling Green; five great-grandsons, Jordon, Joseph and Dakota Bacon of Driftwood, Texas, and Ethan and William Bacon of Cincinnati; one great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Bacon of Driftwood, Texas; two sisters, Dortha Clinger of Upper Sandusky and Martha Rarick of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; and one sister-in-law, Helen Pool of Upper Sandusky.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers, Richard, Wayne and Donald Pool.

Betty was a homemaker and formerly worked at Upper Drug and Dairy and Harold's Department Store in Tiffin. She was a 1940 graduate of the former Eden High School, member of Sycamore United Church of Christ, a member and past president of the Women's Guild and Alpha Omega Sunday school class. She also was a Sunday school and Bible school teacher for many years. She was a 70-year member of Warpole Chapter No. 366, OES, Upper Sandusky, and served as worthy matron in 1951, 1968, 1969 and 1976. She served as deputy grand matron of the Grand Chapter of Ohio in 1974. She was a member and past president of Mohawk Sixty-Plus Club, Sycamore. She belonged to Mohawk Historical Society, Sycamore, Women's Literary Club and the Little Theatre Club. She served on the election board in Tymochtee Township for more than 20 years.

Betty enjoyed traveling, when able. She traveled to the Bahamas and Alaska along with many other sites.

Her funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2015, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, 201 W. Saffel Ave., Sycamore, OH 44882, with the Rev. Robin LaBolt officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.
