Leslie Marie Adams was born February 7, 1964, the daughter of William Tyra and Marilyn Wight Wingrove Crane. She died April 28, 2008 at her home in Vail, Iowa at the age of forty-four.

Leslie was born in Manchester, Iowa and received her elementary education at Lake View Community School. She continued her education at Oakland High School, graduating with the class of 1982. She spent her life focusing on her four children, and helping others whenever she could. She was a very hard worker and offered her support to anyone in need. Her community was very important to her and she was active with the swimming pool board, the Altar Society at St. Ann Catholic Church, and the Vail Little League. She also taught Catechism, spent time reading to children at the public library and enjoyed the outdoors, and animals. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Vail, Iowa and their Altar Guild.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn and one daughter, Paige. She is survived by three sons, Eric of Arcadia; and Ben and Arthur, both of Vail; one daughter, Sarah of Vail; one granddaughter, Paige Adams of Auburn; her father, Bill Crane and his wife, Darlene of Vail; one sister, Kathyrn Williams and her husband, Ron of Emerson, Iowa; and two brothers, Joe Crane of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and Mike Crane of Aeia, Hawaii; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, May 2, 2008 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Vail, Iowa. Fr. John Thomas served as Celebrant of the service with private inurnment at the Dow City Cemetery. Jean Cornelius provided the organ accompaniment for the St. Ann's Family Choir. Adam Riesselman served as a server and those serving as pallbearers were: Matt Ludwig, Seth Ludwig, Zach Ludwig, Andy Thelen, Dan Lally and Jim Lally. A Legion of Mary Rosary was held at 6 P.M. and a Scriptural Wake Service at 7 P.M., Thursday at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. The family invited everyone in attendance at the service to join them in fellowship and lunch, served by the St. Ann's Parish Teams. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of arrangements.
