John Benedict, 75 years old, died at his home in Edwardsville, Kansas, today from injuries he received when he was struck by a rail motor velocipede at the Union Pacific crossing in Edwardsville. Mr. Benedict had lived in Wyandotte county since the early 60's. His widow and these children survive: Frank, Edwardsville; Hiram, Salina; Mrs. Charles Crooks, Kansas City, Kas.; Mrs. George McClure, Garnett; Harry, Bonner Springs; and Edward Benedict, Kansas City, Kas. Burial Tuesday afternoon in Edwardsville. (KC Star May 1, 1916
