Jane (Miga) Eldridge, 82, of Somers, passed peacefully to eternal rest on Sunday (January 11, 2004). She was the beloved wife of Harold M. Eldridge for the past 56 years. Born in Chicopee, MA, on December 12, 1921, daughter of Bertha and Walter Miga, she resided in Somers for many years prior to moving to Naples, FL. Jane was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by those she left behind. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Michael Eldridge and his wife, Elaine of Somers, Daniel Eldridge of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; two daughters, Patricia Barufaldi and her husband, Paul of Somers, Kathleen Lech and her husband, Robert of Rotunda, FL. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Andrea Eldridge of Stafford, David Eldridge, Christopher Barufaldi and Matthew Barufaldi of Somers; two sisters, Julie McCarthy of Chicopee, MA, Genevieve Park of New Vineyard, ME; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three brothers, Henry Miga, John Miga, and Edmund Miga, and two sisters, Helen Grodsky and Stephanie Woz. A Memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 27 Somers Rd., Hamden, MA, on Saturday, January 31, at 12 Noon, for family and friends. A private burial will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made in her honor to the charity of the donor's choice.
