Ida was born on July 24th, 1926 in Wright City, Oklahoma and died peacefully as she entered the presence of the Lord on June 19th, 2015 in Savoy, Texas.
She married Freddie Joseph Dophied on August 5, 1941 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, together raised ten children. Ida worked as a homemaker taking care of the children and managing the household. Ida was a born again Christian and enjoyed listening and learning about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a very generous and giving person. Ida enjoyed reading all kinds of books, playing cards, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She loved being outdoors planting flowers and bird watching.
Mrs. Dophied was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Betty and Helen; and brother, Jimmy.
She is survived by her children, Jacqueline Stephens and husband, Doug, Julia Brown and husband, Archie, Sarah Howard, Bonnie Tucker, Donna Cannan and husband, Roger, Calvin Dophied and wife Pat, and Freddie Dophied Jr.; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
